About

A person wearing a plaid shirt, black leggings, climbing shoes, and red sunglasses is rock climbing on a red sandstone surface. They are secured with a climbing harness and safety ropes, and are smiling at the camera.

I’m Abigail, an outdoor photographer rooted in climbing, travel, and time spent in wild spaces.

My Story

My experience comes from years of hands-on learning—climbing, working in remote environments, and guiding in the backcountry, including time spent working on horseback in mountain terrain.

I didn’t learn this in a classroom. I learned it through time outside, through mentorship, and through real situations where things don’t always go as planned. That experience shapes the way I approach every shoot.

How I work

When I’m on a shoot, I’m not separate from the experience—I’m part of it.

I understand how these days actually unfold, and I’m comfortable contributing where needed while staying focused on documenting the experience. Whether that’s on a wall, on the trail, or deep in the backcountry, I approach it as both a photographer and someone who belongs in that environment.

My role isn’t to guide or lead the objective, but to be capable enough to support the flow of the day without getting in the way.

Why?

What draws me to this work is the connection people have to the outdoors. It’s not just about the summit or the send—it’s about everything that happens along the way. The effort, the setbacks, the quiet moments, and the people you share it with.

That’s what I focus on capturing–because those are the moments that actually matter.

If this is the kind of story you want captured let’s talk.
