The Experience

Anchor Point Photography is run by me, Abigail. From the first inquiry to the final gallery delivery, I handle every part of the process personally. If you reach out about a session or a multi-day adventure, you will be working directly with me the entire time.

I want this experience to feel clear, collaborative, and grounded from the start. Because many of the stories I photograph happen in outdoor environments, I put a lot of care into planning, communication, and making sure the process feels natural rather than forced.

What you can expect

First conversation

We talk through your idea, goals, location, and what kind of story you want captured.

Planning

I help shape the details so the session feels realistic, safe, and aligned with your vision.

Shoot day

I document the experience as it unfolds, without making it feel overly staged or disconnected from the moment.

Editing and delivery

I carefully curate and edit your images, then deliver them in an online gallery.

1. First inquiry and conversation

When you reach out, I will start by learning more about what you have in mind. That might be a climbing day, a backcountry trip, a multi-day objective, or simply an experience outside that matters to you. I want to understand not just where you are going, but why it matters and what kind of feeling you want the images to hold.

This first conversation is also a chance for you to get a sense of how I work. You can ask questions, tell me what feels important, and share any concerns you have about logistics, timing, or comfort level. My goal is to make the process feel approachable and straightforward from the very beginning.

2. Planning the shoot

Once I understand the vision, I will help plan the session around the reality of the environment and the experience you want documented. That means talking through location, timing, weather considerations, pace, and what kind of coverage makes the most sense for the day.

If the session involves more complex terrain or a longer objective, I will work with you to think through the details in a way that feels thoughtful and realistic. I want you to feel prepared, not overwhelmed. Even when the shoot is adventurous, the process should still feel organized and calm.

3. What the actual session feels like

When the day arrives, my approach is to be present without making the experience feel performative. I am not interested in turning real moments into something overly polished or artificial. I am there to document what the day actually feels like, including the big moments, the in-between moments, and the details that often end up meaning the most.

Because I have spent a lot of time in climbing and outdoor spaces, I understand that these days rarely unfold in a perfectly controlled way. Conditions change. Timing shifts. Energy moves up and down. I work with that reality instead of against it. My goal is to stay adaptable, aware, and easy to work with so that you can stay focused on the experience itself.

4. After the shoot

After the session, I go through the images carefully and begin the editing process. I am looking for the photographs that best tell the story of the day, not just the ones that are technically strong on their own. I want the final gallery to feel cohesive, honest, and true to the experience you had.

Once the images are ready, I will deliver them through an online gallery where you can view, download, and share them. If there is anything important to know about turnaround time, image use, or delivery details, I will communicate that clearly so you are never left wondering what comes next.

5. What matters most to me

The most important thing to me is that the experience feels real, collaborative, and respectful of what you are actually out there doing. Whether the day is physically demanding, emotionally meaningful, or simply something you do not want to forget, I want the process of being photographed to feel natural and worthwhile.

Although Anchor Point Photography is still growing, I take this work seriously. That means clear communication, thoughtful preparation, and showing up fully for the people who trust me to document something important to them.

6. A simple promise

If we work together, you will not be handed off to a team or pushed through a generic process. You will be working directly with me, and I will do everything I can to make sure you feel informed, comfortable, and genuinely seen throughout the experience.

If that sounds like the kind of experience you are looking for, I would love to hear what you have in mind and help you shape it into something meaningful.
